Es ber\u00fccksichtigt den Einfluss von Sonne und Mond auf den Agraranbau. Es sollten einige Experimente folgen, bis es Giovanni gelang, mithilfe der Wechselwirtschaft den Anbau zu revolutionieren. Dadurch konnte der Boden seine N\u00e4hrstoffe zur\u00fcckgewinnen und gleichzeitig lie\u00df sich der Bedarf an nat\u00fcrlichen und chemischen D\u00fcngemitteln verringern. Damit verlagerte sich die landwirtschaftliche Tradition der Familie hin zur Produktion. Neben dem Anbau von Tomaten nahmen sie Tierzucht und K\u00e4seerzeugung (Parmigiano) auf und setzten auch dort auf Methoden, die ihrer Zeit weit voraus waren. Dieser sollte den landwirtschaftlichen Betrieb der Familie v\u00f6llig ver\u00e4ndern. Ugo schlug seinem Vater vor, eine kleine Fabrik zur Produktion von Tomatenextrakt zu errichten, die sich das neu entwickelte Sous-Vide-Verfahren zunutze machte: Lebensmittel wurden vakuumversiegelt und in einem optimal temperierten Wasserbad gegart. Zu dieser Zeit war Analphabetismus in Italien noch weit verbreitet und so war es f\u00fcr das Lebensmittelunternehmen unerl\u00e4sslich, seine Produkte mit starken und einfachen Bildern aus der breiten Masse herauszuheben. Das Mutti-Tomatenmark wurde zum Symbol der exzellenten italienischen K\u00fcche. Nach der Erfindung des Sous-Vide-Garens folgte dem einfachen schon bald ein Doppelkonzentrat und ab 1938 ein Dreifachkonzentrat.
