This super quick, flavour packed Bolognese will be your new go to mid-week pasta fix. Mutti has done all the work for you with our ingredient rich Mutti Sugo Bolognese sauce. No need for a long cook time to develop the flavours of the sauce, its already been done for you.

Made with Sugo Bolognese

Our Sugo Semplice Bolognese is made with just harvested, perfectly ripe tomatoes and a selection of different vegetables for a fresh flavour and rich texture. The perfect base for a delicious Bolognese sauce or even just served with hot pasta as a simple pasta sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 brown onion
  • 4 garlic gloves (peeled & crushed)
  • 1 kg beef mince (good quality )
  • 2x 400g jars Mutti Sugo Semplice Bolognese
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 bunch basil (leaves picked)
  • 400 g pasta (of your choice)
  • finely grated parmesan (to serve)

Mutti’s Midweek Bolognese: Method

  1. Heat the oil in a large heavy based saucepan over medium heat, add the garlic and onion and cook for 5-7 minutes or until softened. Add the mince and cook for a further 8-10 minutes or until browned and the liquid has evaporated.
  2. Add the Mutti Sugo Bolognese sauce, dried oregano and most of the basil leaves to the pan, season with salt and pepper and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until the sauce has reduced slightly.
  3. Cook the pasta in a large saucepan of salted boiling water according to packet instructions. Drain well. Carefully stir the pasta through the sauce, divide between bowls and top with the grated parmesan and remaining basil leaves to serve.
