Pelati

Like all our tomatoes, the processing and packaging of Pelati occur within 24 hours of harvesting to preserve the authentic taste of freshly picked tomatoes. They have many different uses in the kitchen and are perfect for many traditional Mediterranean recipes. 

Peeled tomatoes are incredibly versatile in cooking. You can use them as a filling, as a tasty and decorative element for focaccias or pizza, or simply cut them in half and serve them as small appetizers. When cut into pieces or mixed together with the purée in the can, they work wonderfully well in all kinds of pizza or pasta dishes. Lightly heated, Pelati bring out the flavours in seafood.

How is it made?

The skin of the tomatoes is removed gently with steam. After that, they are nestled in a velvety purée and canned to preserve their freshness.
