Pincushion
Turn your Mutti Pasta Sauce jar into a fun and practical container for storing threads, buttons or little creative secrets. Perfect to keep on your worktable or to gift to someone you love.
What do you need
- 1 Mutti Pasta Sauce jar
- 1 kitchen sponge
- Scissors
- Hot glue
- Needle, thread and coloured ribbon
- A scrap of fabric (pattern of your choice)
Step 1
Use the jar lid to draw a circle on a kitchen sponge.
Step 2
Shape the kitchen sponge with scissors, turning it into a small dome.
Step 3
Cover the dome with a scrap of fabric in the pattern you like most.
Step 4
Close the fabric scrap by stitching it at the back with a needle and thread.
Step 5
Using hot glue, glue the small dome onto the lid of the jar.
Step 6
You can make the lid even more beautiful by decorating it with a colourful ribbon.
Step 7
Fill the jar and voilà: a lovely container to keep all your sewing supplies neatly organised! And it is also perfect as a super original gift too.
