Made with Napoli pizza sauce

Mutti® Sauces for Pizza are inspired by celebrated recipes from the cities of Positano, Napoli, and Parma.  While each city has its own distinct culinary style, an appreciation for simple, high quality ingredients is a common thread.  Inspired by the pizza of Napoli, this Sauce for Pizza celebrates the Pizza Margherita with a tantalizing blend of 100% Italian sun-ripened finely chopped tomatoes and aromatic basil.

DIY Calzone made with Sauce For Pizza: Method

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F and grease two large baking sheets with cooking spray.
  2. Divide pre-made pizza dough into equal portions and roll into a circle. Spoon Mutti® Napoli Sauce for Pizza on one half of the dough, then top with mozzarella and toppings of your choice.
  3. Gently fold dough in half, dampen seams with water and pinch together, then crimp edges all around. Repeat with remaining dough. Transfer to prepared baking sheets. Brush tops with oil and sprinkle with salt. Using kitchen scissors or a sharp knife, slit tops in 2 to 3 spots to create steam vents.
  4. Bake until tops are golden and filling is bubbling, 15 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before cutting open.
