This sauce pairs naturally sweet Rossoro tomatoes with delicious chunks of savory, salty Parmigiano Reggiano cheese crafted in the Emilia Romagna region. Enjoy on pasta, or even out of the jar.

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1/3 cup Mutti Parmesan Pasta Sauce
  • 2 tbsp diced speck
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder for savory cakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • salt and pepper t.t.
  • 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • a few basil leaves

Savory Mug Cake: Method

  1. In a mug, combine the egg, flour, baking powder, oregano, Mutti Parmesan tomato sauce, speck, and olive oil.
  2. Mix well and clean the edges of the mug to ensure even cooking.
  3. Microwave on maximum power for 2 minutes. Check for doneness; if needed, cook for an additional 30 seconds. Your savory mug cake is ready!
