Penne with Mutti tomato puree, capers and mozzarella

Tomato Puree retains the bright red color of tomatoes and has a velvety composition with an intense but sweet taste.

  • 60 g Mutti® Tomato Puree
  • 120 g penne pasta
  • 20 g onions
  • basil
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 20 g giant capers
  • 30 g diced mozzarella


  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water
  2. Brown onions in olive oil, add capers, salt, pepper, basil and Mutti Tomato Puree, and cook for 10 minutes
  3. Drain pasta and put in a pan with sauce, cook for 2 minutes and serve on a plate, topped with mozzarella
