Easy tomato sauce

Mutti Polpa keeps all the freshness of freshly picked tomatoes. This unique product combines the finely cut pulpy part of the fruit with its own juice.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Melted butter
  • 2 pcs crushed tomatoes (400 g)
  • 200 g onion
  • 1 tbsp dark sugar (e.g. brown or cane sugar)
  • black pepper from the mill
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2.5 dl Cooking cream

Method

  1. Peel and chop the onion. Saute butter in a covered pot or casserole.
  2. Add tomato and sugar. Boil the mixture slowly under the lid for about 20 minutes.
  3. Season with pepper and salt. Finally, add the cream. Let simmer under the lid for a few min. Check the taste, add spices (eg garlic, basil) if desired.
  4. Stir the sauce into the cooked pasta. Sprinkle grated cheese on the surface.
